Not your average ‘mobile DJ’. Not an agency.
Forever Grooves provides unique, non-commercial DJ sets for private and corporate events, as well as venues including bars & restaurants. Unlike many DJ/entertainment companies and ‘collectives’, who have a rotating roster of DJ’s, all Forever Grooves gigs are played by Remy. He’s also the person you’ll be dealing with from initial consultation, right up to event day.

What’s the music vibe?
Remy has a honed in on the subtle art of blending hidden, unknown gems with nostalgic classics, creating set’s that sound both fresh and familiar. One of Remy’s talents is his intuition of knowing when to play lesser known or ‘left-field’ tracks, and when to play more well known, recognisable and accessible music.
Check out the list of genres below that Remy often plays. The style of music played at a gig of course varies depending on music brief, setting and type of event. If you’re looking to book Remy for a wedding, check out the wedding music vibe here. If you’re looking for a non commercial DJ for an event, get in touch.

The Vinyl Package
If you’d like records spun at your event, Remy will swap out the digital Pioneer setup for his beloved pair of Technics turntables. It’s worth noting that most of Remy’s vinyl collection is made up of niche and underground funk/soul, house, disco and world flavours.
So he can play tracks on his turntables that aren’t in his vinyl collection (or were never released on vinyl to begin with), Remy often also uses ‘DVS’ or ‘control vinyl’ in combination with OG records.
If you’d like to know more about the vinyl collection, or understand how control vinyl works, just ask!

Some words from Remy.
“I truly love DJ’ing. It’s my favourite thing to do. My underlying desire for DJ’ing lays in non-commercial dance music, which I outlet through my passion project, ‘The Remedy Man’. I’ve also always had an appreciation for the more tasteful side of pop music over the decades and do enjoy a few ‘guilty pleasures’ here and there. Forever Grooves is the culmination of these two different sides of my music taste.
Forever Grooves is perfect for brands and individuals who want a versatile DJ that doesn’t play generic, top 40 music. I love playing music across the decades, spanning many different genres and corners of the world. Although, my collection is loaded with hits and classics from the 2000’s going back through the decades, I play practically no current commercial music. As a rough guide, if you’d generally prefer to listen to a radio station like PBS instead of NOVA, I’m probably a good fit for your event.
I’ve been DJ’ing for more than half my life, so it’s safe to say I’ve DJ’d in many different scenarios. Over the years, I’ve learnt to be selective about the events I agree to play. Before booking a gig, I always like to make sure I’m a good fit for the client and event. This is to avoid taking on gigs where I’m asked to play music that isn’t my vibe and out of my scope. The most well-received sets I’ve played are the ones where I have the most creative control, being able to build a flow throughout the set, playing music I love and like to mix.”
